I succumbed to the MAC 187! August 22, 2008

OK, I’ve just bought my very first MAC 187 brush — the Cadillac of all makeup brushes. Wallet damage is P2950. BUUUUT guess what? I don’t care.  I’m just so happy to finally have one of my own, after reading so much raves about it.  I know, I know, I’m such a late bloomer.

I do have an inexpensive but good stippling brush that does the job — but many girls say that nothing can even come close to the 187. Which means, I can get even better-looking makeup if I get the 187.  So I did.  I was actually planning to go to MAC on Monday, but Schatz is coming over — so no malling on Monday.  Plus, I picked a fight with him at lunch today and to make myself feel better, I got myself the 187.  Nyahahaha. We also made up and I’m feeling 1000% better. ^___^

Here’s a pic of the new baby:

Still quite smelly.  Can’t wait to get home and give her a nice bath so I can use it tomorrow morning. ^_^

I made Hello Kitty purin! August 18, 2008

My Kitty molds from Ebay

Since I’ve transferred to the Morayta school, I’ve been purin-deprived…until last week, when I dropped by Hatchin after meeting Schatz at his office for lunch. Boxes of purin mixes were calling out to me, yay! So I grabbed a few, and bought an extra cup of ready-made purin for that day’s dessert. Hehe.

I was thinking I could use the Hello Kitty jelly/pudding molds I got off Ebay from one of my favorite Kitty sellers (mingyee888) – picture at the left. I was inside the bus to work when I ripped open the Hello Kitty purin box and was surprised to find out that it came with pudding molds already. Kawaii~!  It also says on the box that if you get the smiling Kitty mold, you’re lucky. And I was… There she was, smiling cutely at me. ラッキ!

Learn Hiragana @ Japinoy.com August 7, 2008

I wonder if a lot of people knew about this…but we started our own online Nihongo lessons last year. Doing the animated Kana was a pain! But it was all worth it. To see the animated Hiragana, click HERE

Once you get to the link, keep on clicking NEXT until you get to the per-family Kana, click on one character, and a popup will show you how that Kana is written. ^_^ Katakana is still a work-in-progress, though.

The online lessons will resume this month, once we finish uploading the exercises accompanying each lesson.
